Meet the team

Louise Hosking

Louise Hosking MD, Chartered Safety and Health Practitioner

Over the last 26 years in this industry I have learnt the importance of great customer service, providing effective OSH leadership and removing the fear felt by managers and employees to make their own decisions. We build extremely close relationships with all our clients, implementing arrangements which are practical and workable. When standards are raised, it has a positive effect across the whole organisation. Employees take greater responsibility and feel more engaged in the process whilst owners and managers feel more in control. We find solutions, not problems, and we do it with personality!

I volunteer with IOSH and was extremely honoured and proud to be elected to the presidential team as an IOSH Vice-President in November 2017. Outside of OSH I look forward to an annual Sailing Holiday with my husband who grew up sailing a mirror dinghy on the Solent and is now teaching me the ropes! I love long summer cycle rides. One day I hope to cycle from Land’s End to John O’Groats. I like finishing the working week with a G&T, and spending time with my incredible circle of friends who live in the UK and overseas.

Christine McBride

Christine McBride Development & Resources Manager

With over 20 years working within business management and education (predominantly in California), I’ve come to realise the importance of believing in your product or service. I believe client relationships are key, and high standards an absolute must. I love working with Louise and the rest of the team, and am happy to be associated with such a fantastic group of professionals and clients.

As a native Californian, I am naturally drawn to outdoor activities and love cycling, hiking, kayaking, swimming, and taking my miniature Schnauzer out for long walks. I’ve discovered a new love of travelling (no surprise there), and am enjoying my new life in England with my gorgeous daughters and wonderful new husband.

When not working, I like to keep fit and have a passion for cycling, scuba diving, and horseback riding.

Emma Flatt

With an extensive background in the NHS and further ten years experience as a Safety Administrator within the Pharmaceutical industry, I relish working with the entire Hosking Associates team. I’m really excited to be working with such a terrific group of exceptional professionals who I’m not only learning a lot from, but also broadening my experiences within Health and Safety. Always striving to offer a high quality service, whilst offering expertise within the industry, I thoroughly enjoy my job and the opportunity I have to speak with our clients on a regular basis.  Excellent customer service remains my highest priority.

Outside of work, I love spending time with my husband and young son. Travelling the world, and enjoying fine wine and food, fall heavily in my list of interests.

Anise Saunders

Anise Saunders Safety and Health Practitioner

With 23 years’ experience in the commercial sector, the last 12 years has been focussed on the positive impact of Health and safety on productivity and strategic success. Having a genuine passion for all aspects of property management, I enjoy being an advocate of the integral role Health and Safety plays in everyday working. Dedicated to delivering ‘value add’, I pride myself on knowing the client and the business to achieve measurable results. With this value in mind, it is a fantastic opportunity to work with my colleagues at Hosking Associates and their clients to go beyond compliance and incorporate best practice into everyday ethos.

Outside of work I enjoy relaxing with my family as I am very much a people person in all aspects of life. I practice and advocate mindfulness as a way of keeping in touch with everyday joy and inspiration for life.

In his spare time, Stuart likes to play golf, and is chairman of a local charity.

Tonie Davey

Tonie Davey Quality, Safety, Health & Environmental Practitioner

As a Safety, Quality, and Environmental professional, I constantly strive to exceed goals and targets and find challenges enjoyable. Breaking down the sometimes complex language of legal standards and requirements comes naturally to me, and I believe anything is achievable. High standards do not not have to be complicated, and along with my colleagues at Hosking Associates, I believe straight-talk and simplicity are key to success.

As mother and wife, I do not get lots of time to myself. When I do, and have the energy….I enjoy going to the gym. I am a keen cinema and music fan, with eclectic tastes.  I do love to “cut some rug” and I love a good horror movie…but obviously not at the same time!

To me the perfect way to spend my spare time is relaxing and laughing with friends and family….with the odd cuddle thrown in for good measure.

Through my working life I have worked in a range of industries from Aerospace, Construction, Foundry, Healthcare and Retail. This diverse experience is reflected in my mission “to change peoples perception of Health and Safety into one that inspires and improves their working environment and personal lives” and that Safety and Health should work with a company’s processes – holistically and intelligently supporting everyone during their working life.

Away from work, my partner and I are both large “petrol-heads” and between us we have a range of Cars and Motorbikes. The most influential “toy” is our Morgan which features in a monthly magazine article called “follow that car” in Mog Magazine. During my spare, spare time I also enjoy growing my own vegetables and eating them, as cooking and eating is my other passion.
