Working with Hosking Associates

Propertyserve has worked closely with safety, health, and environmental specialist Hosking Associates (www.hosking-associates.com), for the last couple of years.

In December 2015 – Propertyserve expressed an interest in attaining the Safety Ribbon Award, which the company then went on to achieve in February 2015.

Chris MacDonald, managing director at Propertyserve, comments: “Our staff are our most important asset and their safety and welfare is paramount. We were aware of the Safety Ribbon Award, and knew that we needed to attain it. Mainly because it represents real quality, but to provide guidance and a benchmark on the standards we were hoping to achieve.

Louise Hosking, managing director of Hosking Associates, adds: “Propertyserve is an excellent business, and has taken a very proactive stance when it comes to health and safety. I am delighted they have attained the award.”

Hosking Associates’ Safety Ribbon Award

Hosking Associates launched its Safety Ribbon Award in late 2014. The purpose of the Safety Ribbon Award is first and foremost an audit tool to benchmark an organisation’s current compliance level against health & safety law, and to fulfil the annual review requirement of HSG65.

Organisations are assessed against a broad criteria based on legal compliance, and receive a score at the end of the process. If organisations achieve over 85% they have achieved a high standard and may use the logo for a year to demonstrate to staff, clients, visitors, and the business community that a high standard of safety management is being practised every day.

Louise Hosking said: “We are often asked whether we feel that standards are improving, and the measured result will help organisations to understand this. The Safety Ribbon Award audit provides an independent check to give everyone information on current standards. Employee health & wellbeing are a core criteria which Propertyserve manage to high standards.”
