Our own Louise Hosking and Paul Williams grace the cover of the May/June FMUK Magazine where Louise asks the question “Who is looking after the Facilities Manager?”, as the feature article for this issue.  As a nationally recognised expert in risk management, Louise goes on to point out “when a role is so focused on others, consideration of one’s own Health & Safety can be overlooked“.

The article examines the hazardous activities within the Facilities Manager role, and looks at areas such as work at height (accessing all those slippery roofs!), building refurbishment, lone working, stress & fatigue, and overall health & wellbeing.

Louise has worked very closely with FMs over the years, and has a keen insight into how demanding the role can be; this article is written not just as an expert in the health & safety field, but also as a friend and colleague to many FMs. Copies of the magazine will be available and distributed at The Facilities Show [2], 16-18 June, at the Excel in London.
