PRESS RELEASE: In January 2016, Hosking Associates Safety Ribbon Award  made it into Tomorrows Health & Safety magazine 2016 top 50 awards.
The voting has been counted and verified and – three months on – Hosking Associates is delighted to announce that the company has been shortlisted in the top 10 – coming in at a very honorable number seven.
The awards are a ‘shortlist of the products that wowed the industry in 2015 – in terms of their approach to keeping global workforce’s healthy and safe’.
The Safety Ribbon certification launched in 2014 – creating a useful auditing tool for businesses, helping them to understand their current level of compliance in respect of health and safety. The audit is comprehensive yet simple and can be carried out in one day – where Hosking Associates assesses a company’s entire health and safety process, and provides an overall score which acts as a benchmark for improvement.
Louise Hosking, managing director at Hosking Associates, said: “There are a large number of health and safety bench marking awards, but we set out to develop and launch our own. The award has been well considered and achieving it is no easy task. A company has to really prove how proactive it is.
“We are therefore delighted to have come in the top 10 for the Tomorrow’s Health & Safety Awards, and to have been recognised for this achievement. Next year, we’ll aim for the top spot!”
Hosking Associates’ Safety Ribbon Award
Hosking Associates launched its Safety Ribbon Award in late 2014. The purpose of the Safety Ribbon Award is first and foremost an audit tool to benchmark an organisation’s current compliance level against health & safety law, and to fulfill the annual review requirement of HSG65.
Organisations are assessed against a broad criteria based on legal compliance, and receive a score at the end of the process. If organisations achieve over 85%, they have achieved a high standard and may use the logo for a year to demonstrate to staff, clients, visitors, and the business community that a high standard of safety management is being practiced every day.
