Meet the team

Louise Hosking

Louise Hosking MD, Chartered Safety and Health Practitioner

Over the last 29 years in this industry I have learnt the importance of great customer service, providing effective OSH leadership and removing the fear felt by business and their employees to make strong decisions. We build extremely close relationships with all our clients, implementing arrangements which are practical and workable. When standards are raised, it has a positive effect across the whole organisation. Employees take greater responsibility; feeling more engaged in the process whilst owners and managers feel more in control. We are there for the journey and we do it with personality!

I volunteer with IOSH and was extremely honoured and proud to be elected to the presidential team as an IOSH Vice-President in November 2017. In October 2020 I was elected to President-Elect and will become President in the Autumn of 2021.

Outside of OSH I look forward to an annual Sailing Holiday with my husband who grew up sailing a mirror dinghy on the Solent and is now teaching me the ropes! I love long summer cycle rides. One day I hope to cycle from Land’s End to John O’Groats. I like finishing the working week with a G&T, and spending time with my incredible circle of friends who live in the UK and overseas.

Claire Wood

Claire Wood Chartered Safety and Health Practitioner

Adding value and providing assurance are core key drivers for me in supporting a business’s health and safety management. Through competent, pragmatic advice and guidance gained from a highly successful career working in sectors such as retail, property management, construction and environmental health, I can ensure a business gets to where it wants to be. Health and safety is a diverse and fascinating field from which I believe with the right support any organisation can achieve business focussed solutions to help its health and safety flourish sustainably and economically.

Alongside working in health and safety, family, friends, travel and wellbeing are also my passions. At the moment I’m on an amazing/terrifying adventure bringing up my two small children, but I also love seeing new places and driving a tuk tuk across India a few years ago will take some beating; I’m up for the challenge though!

Jo Pearce

Jo Pearce Safety and Health Practitioner

My background is in Facilities Management where I spent many years managing properties for a multi-site distribution company.  Further roles continued to expand my experience and knowledge of Health & Safety, from a business school in a Grade 1 listed property to a production engineering company.

I’m an advocate for simplicity and Health & Safety really doesn’t have to be complicated.  Effective measures taken to meet compliance can bring efficiency to any business and make it both a safe and pleasurable environment for employees to work.

I’m a trustee for a charity and volunteer for the local dog rescue centre where I help with fundraising events.  I love the countryside and holidays are usually taken exploring the Lake District or Scottish Highlands where I could walk for miles taking in the breath-taking scenery.

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my young family. We especially love escaping to the mountains for some skiing. When we’re not in the mountains, we like to walk, swim, cycle or simply play in the garden together.
